Ladue Swim Club Closed

Dear Ladue Swim Club Members,

The Ladue School District is currently closed until April 3rd.  Ladue Swim Club will be closed as long as the district remains closed.  I will be coordinating with the school district's activities office following spring break to determine when and if we can begin the spring swim program.  Payments have not been processed and I will hold payments until we are able to start the spring program.  If it becomes necessary to cancel the spring program, all payments will be returned to you.

I truly hope to see everyone at the pool soon.

Sincerely,

Corey  Miller

We hope you have a nice spring break.

Thursday, January 30th

Good Evening All,
Tomorrow afternoon is the last Ladue High School Girls Swimming and Diving home meet for the year.  It should be a competitive meet starting at 4:15 PM if you would like to watch. They also plan to have a senior celebration at the end of their meet.  In anticipation that their event will run a little long, we are going to move all of the swim groups back by a 1/2 hour.

On Thursday:
Group 1 (Ages 5 to 7) will practice from 6:00 to 6:45 PM
Group 2 (Ages 8 to 10) will practice from 6:45 PM to 7:30 PM
Group 3 (Ages 11& up) will practice from 7:30 PM to 8:20 PM

We will have normal practice times this Saturday starting at 10 AM.

One other thing I would like to let you know about:
This weekend, Missouri Water Polo is sponsoring USA Water Polo Growth Specialist and 2004 Olympian Genai Kerr's return to St. Louis to lead the Missouri Water Polo Players Clinic February 1st & 2nd at MICDS (just up the road from Ladue High on N. Warson).  Additionally, there is a free Splashball Clinic for players 6-10 years old from 4-5 pm at MICDS on Saturday, February 1st.  Here is some info on the clinic:  https://5meter.com/collections/splashball/products/saint-louis-missouri-splashball-camp
In addition to Olympian Genai Kerr, there will be several college coaches and athletes and Olympic Development water polo coaches in attendance.
If any of your swimmers ages 6 to 10 are interested in trying water polo for an hour on Saturday, the splash ball is a free event but you have to register in advance. Most of our current swim coaches are or have been water polo players in addition to swimmers.

Thank you and see you at the pool soon!

Water Temperature

Dear Swim Club Members,
I hope your new year is off to a great start.  Last week, we had a mechanical failure at the pool that caused our water temperature to cool off.  The part was repaired by Monday, but as some of your swimmers may have noticed, the water temperature on Tuesday was cooler than it normally is.  With the volume of water that we have at the pool, it takes some time to return the temperature to normal.  While the younger swimmers found the water to be to cool, our high school swimmers really enjoyed the cooler temperatures.   The water temperature has returned to normal and will be much more comfortable for the younger swimmers this evening.

Thank you,

Corey  Miller
